The topic of my last and final blog for this class is titled "Working Girl." As in the movie with Melanie Griffin and Harrison Ford, not the working girl from the street corners.
This movie has to be one of my all time favorites. I caught the last 45 minutes of this movie on T.V. this morning and knew I wanted to blog about it.
Here is this girl, Tess and she has all these ideas but no one takes her good ideas seriously. So she has to do a little bending of the rules to make her-self heard. I think that you have to admire a girl like that. Because she's beautiful everyone only she's the face and not the brains. So she hooks up with this guy, Jack, who is also her boss' sort of boyfriend but her boss is out of town with a broken leg. So now she's really into things deep. But in the end she gets the job, and the guy.
I know from first hand experience that just because you might not have that college degree behind your name, how hard you have to work to prove to others that you are more than capable of doing the job. Now I am in no way saying that you shouldn't go to college because I am obviously in college. But sometimes I think you need to give people a chance whether or not they went to college. Sometimes it's hands on experience that makes the person a better worker than taking classes and just reading about it.
If you have never seen this movie, than I really encourage you to do so!
Anyway...best wishes to you all, I hope you find yourself happy and successful!

Crabapple tree's!
In my home, the recent topic has been about Crab apple tree's!
I know this may sound like an odd topic of interest but it is one that I have found to be kind of interesting.
Recently my husband was given two free crab apple tree's to plant in out back yard. We have a pretty decent sized back yard, so we were excited to take these 2 tree's and make them part of our home's decor. 1st of all, when they are mature enough to bloom, the flowers are absolutely beautiful to look at. I can hardly wait to see them in full bloom. But the 2nd thing, which is the main part of our conversation, is that we can not find a plain and simple solution to our question..."Are crap apple's safe to eat raw"?
I have found several recipes using the tiny fruit for jellies and preserves but that is with the fruit cooked. But no one seems to be able to answer the questions about if they are safe to eat raw. My first thought was that of they're safe for jelly than surely they are ok to eat raw. But then I thought, what if cooking them takes out the potentially harmful part of them.
The reason we are to interested in this, is that we have young children and the last thing I want to do is have their stomach pumped from eating something that comes from their own back yard that might make them sick.
If anyone knows anything about this, I would love to hear what you have to say! It would help ease my mind if I could get a straight forward answer from someone on this! Best Wishes and thanks for reading!

Semester...coming to an end!
I really can't believe how fast this semester has gone by! I have to admit that even though this class isn't something that I really needed to get my degree, I have really enjoyed it. It has given me the chance to use my imagination and express my self. Sometimes after a long day of studying or work, it's nice to be open to those options.
Blogging has actually turned out to be more fun and interesting that I originally thought it would be. When the semester first started I was looking over the syllabys. When I saw all the blogging that we had to do, I gave a big mental sigh. But as the semester progressed I really got into not only writing my own blogs but I enjoyed reading what everyone else wrote.
Towards the end of the semester I picked out a few fellow bloggers that I choose to read every week. Not because I didn't like what the other students were writing about I just felt more in-tuned with their aspects on life and that became my comfort zone.
But I want to say that I hope everyone had a successful semester and that things are going as they should be. I thought Professor Chism was great and fun to work with. Best wishes and good luck to everyone! God bless you and all you do!

Noah's ark found!!! Maybe...
Researchers claim that they have found Noah's Ark!
I found this article on MSN's homepage. What an intriging story!!!
Can you imagine that if it really does turn out to be true? I find history to be very interesting. But to go back to the days of the bible, that is the ultimate history lesson! I have always been extremely fond of the story of Noah. I LOVE going to museums to actually be able to not only learn about history but to get to SEE history. The whole idea that researchers may have found the ark truly gives me goose bumps!
I am one of those mom's who want to take their kids on an all-american family road trip. Where to pack up the car and travel across country. But while traveling, you stop at every museum, state park, giant ball of twine,... you name it! But to think about getting to see the Ark, makes me want to plan the trip before I even know for 100% certanty that it is even actually the Ark.
This is truly a great discovery if it is true! I pray it is!

Photographer falls victim to shark attack!
A National Geographic photographer becomes a victim to a shark while filming.
I found this amazing story on MSN's home page. It was as amazing video to watch.
When I first clicked on this article is was out of pure curiosity. I really wasn't thinking of using this as a blog assignment, but once I watched this video I knew I had to.
A photographer and his crew were attempting to capture a shark and mount a camera on the shark's back so they could learn more about the sharks' behaviors, etc. During the process (as you could imagine...) the shark got angry and went for his closest target which happen to be the photographer. Luckily the photographer was the only one injured during this incident. He sustained some injuries but is alive and well today to tell this story.
I REALLY hope to take a few minutes to watch this amazing story all caught on camera. It really was fascinating to watch! Thank goodness everyone including the shark are all well.
I love stories like this where everything turns out good in the end. This could of been a really horrible story to share but luckily for everyone involved the ending was a happy one. And I have to thank my lucky stars it wasn't me!!! =)

16 reasons you might smell!!!
"16 reasons you might smell," came from an article I found on MSN's homepage.
I actually found this article to be pretty informative.
O.K., I have to admit, that when I clicked on this headline, my first thought was that I was going to mentally make fun of it. But once I started reading, I found a lot of really interesting information. Have you ever walked past someone in a store and felt like you had to hold your breath because they have body odor? I know I have, and I'm sure at one time or another I have thought to myself, "They need a shower!" But after reading this article that may not be the only reason. Body odor doesn't just come from getting sweaty but can come from a lot of other sources.
You can body odor issues from the types of food you eat to your medication. I had heard of a few of these before but I was really surprised by others.
So, I have to apologize to anyone who has ever had to deal with bad body odor. I feel bad for them and didn't realize that there were so many other possible explanations out there for it. I hope you take the time to read this article, I found it to be very informative!

Girl found alive after missing for 5 days!
Nadia Brown was found Tuesday morning after been missing for 5 days.
This is one of those suspensful/feel-good stories that I love to hear about.
Nadia went for a bike ride and when she didn't come home, her parents began to worry. Authorities feared the worst when they found her bike and helmet. Apparently the little girl has a form of Autism and wondered into the woods. The crazy part, is that the area she went into is said to be one of the largest alligator infested areas in Central Florida.
I still can't believe that little girl was able to come out of there alive. She was hungry and covered in bug bites but in very good condition other than that. I have children of my own and I can't imagine them disapearing in the first place but then to imagine them amoungst a bunch of hungry, wild aligators is more than I can comprehend.
I'm just so glad to here that she is now home and safe. It's one of those moments when you can't help but think that her guardian angel was on high alert during that time!
